I want to know, where's this "leadership" our two Democratic Presidential candidates keep telling us about?
One would think that two such individuals that are brimming over with leadership (two veritable founts of leadership to hear them tell it, really) would be able to manage to at least lead the members of their own damned party into not caving to bush.
We keep hearing about how they're going to "reach across the aisle" and "get things done."
All I have to say to that is:
WHERE?
Let's see it.
I've seen a grand total of NO leading out of these two gargantuans of leadership on the huge sum of ZERO issues!
Where's all this leadership they keep talking about?
When is this leadership going to start, exactly?
What does this "reaching across the aisle" to "get things done" even mean, exactly?
Because all I've seen lately out of our Congress (which just so happens to include these two masterful aisle-reaching "leaders") is them caving to the goddamned republicans time after time after time after time.
If THAT'S what "reaching across the aisle" means...
I'd MUCH rather they keep their mitts on their own damned side of the aisle, thank you very much.
If THAT is what "getting things done" means to them...
Well, I'd much rather they didn't do a damned thing then. If all they can manage to "get done" is to stick yet another shiv in my back... I'd rather they did nothing at all.
If I hear EITHER one of our "leaders" bragging about "reaching across the aisle" and "getting things done" one more freaking time, I swear I am going to lose my damned mind.
They're not leaders.
I have YET to see ANY leading out of either one of our "leaders."
Leading does not mean simply showing up for a vote when they can find the time to fit their damned JOBS into their busy schedule...
"Reaching across the aisle" doesn't mean giving the repugs every freaking thing they want...
And it doesn't really count when the only things you can "get done" also happens to be everything on bush's to-do list.
Where's all this leadership I keep hearing about?
WHERE?
I only ask because I've yet to see any "leadership" out of either one of our candidates and people seem to forget that they both are CURRENTLY in positions where they COULD lead... but only if they CHOOSE to lead.
So just when are they going to choose to start showing this abundance of leadership qualities that they're both absolutely chock-full of?
To hear both of our Democratic candidates tell it; they've got more leadership skills than a Hersheys bar has chocolate.
So where is it???
When are we going to see it?
When exactly, are they going to bust into their massive reserves of leadership skills?
Do they even keep these leadership skills on their person... or are they locked away for safe keeping in a secure, undisclosed location?
If those leadership skills are locked away in a secure undisclosed location, do they even remember where it's located?
(Hey! This is a fair question to ask... it's been so long since they've used these leadership skills, they might have forgot where they left them!)
I'm a little worried... Is there an expiration date on leadership qualities?
Are leadership qualities like food products and if you don't use them, do they go bad?
Should we be worried that there is an expiration date on our candidate's leadership skills and they'll be all dried up and rotten by the time one of them takes office in 2009?
Do leadership skills atrophy like muscles do, if you don't exorcise them enough?
Should we be concerned that our next President might have shriveled up withered little leadership skills in 2009, because of lack of use before they were President?
Of course, there is an easy way for all of these questions to be answered...
And that's for our two "leaders" to actually start showing some damned leadership!
