I had an epiphany a few minutes ago while commenting about one of the Supreme Court "justices". It is Rovian, but when dealing with Republicans, no rules apply. Please follow over the fold.
Rather than contributing money to useless Democratic members of Congress, why not set up a fund to pay appointed officials to resign or retire? The funds could be invested in a stable fund, and administered by a reliable source. In no way do I want to have any connection except for the contribution (a little ten bucks) and the decision on who should be retired. I never, in any way, want access to the funds. Nothing in it for me except better government.
This could be pretty good. Rather than the Pelosi's and Reid's in the world, our dollars could actually do some good. For example, I would love to see Scalia and or Thomas retire. If we folks of good will do so, they just might.
If we can get folks like Soros, or many others, to assist, we can buy them out and take them off of the table. Gates, Buffett, lots of folks might help.
These actions apply only to the lifetime appointments, but they are pretty important right now. I will ask this question.
Am I just a nut, or is this a valid way to get them gone?
Warmest regards, Doc.
