McCain Aide won't continue to work with McCain if Obama wins
http://blogs.usatoday.com/...
Found this article in the USA Today this morning and thought it was worthy of a diary entry... my first one. I think this says a lot about the differences presented between Obama and Clinton. This guy has too much respect for Obama and would choose not to be a part of the inevitable smear campaign that McCain would throw at Obama.
"I met Barack Obama, I read his book, I like him a great deal. I disagree with him on very fundamental issues. But I think, as I said, I think it would be a great race for the country and I would simply be uncomfortable being in a campaign that would be inevitably attacking Barack Obama."
So, you could interpret this in a couple of ways: 1.) He has no problem smearing Clinton...she deserves it. 2.) He realizes that there just isn't enough dirt on Obama to actually smear him with. 3.) Not only is there no legitmate dirt, but he realizes Obama just blows McCain right out of the water and is not worth trying to work for such a clear loser. 4.) He's a good guy, and doesn't want to smear another good guy (but has no problem smearing a good woman).
I'm sure there are some other angles, but I'll leave it up to all of you to chime in and tell us what you think. I think that anyone supporting Obama, as I am, can use this article as just one more example of why undecided voters should choose him. Obama can beat McCain, I'm not sure about Clinton. I'd like to be sure that the democrats win in November.
