Ralph Nader will appear on NBC's "Meet The Press" today and the speculation is that he may decided to run for president yet again. Personally, he needs to stop being the pathetic figure and do something to help change things in Washington.
Recently Ralph Nader has announced that he will be organizing a committee to see if a presidential campaign is worthwhile. He has played this game many times; you would think that by now he did not need a steering committee. He has played this game many times.
To begin with, I do not think he is a spoiler. I believe he is called that by those who lost an election and want to just blame someone. And by those who want to blame someone because they were too lazy to research the best candidate; the one that represented their views.
Nader is a tired old media whore. Apparently he cares more about feeding his ego, than what is best for the country. He is a proven LOSER, so why do Americans keep voting for this guy? An excellent question and the best answer is ignorance. A voter does not get their choice for the nomination and they pout and vote for a losing effort. Yes, there are those that will vote other than the top two parties and I am a supporter of a "real" third party that can make a real difference in the lives of the American people.
If Nader was truly interested in the betterment of the political process, why does he not work more openly after his many defeats, for a stronger party? The political process is only there to feed his ego. He is not a substantial candidate. If one votes for him because they believe in his message to the people, then I would like to ask, just what is his message? Apparently I missed it somewhere. IMO, he just picks a convenient message from whichever party or sect he gets the nod from.
Nader is tired leftovers. Feed it to the dogs. Please research the candidates and pick the one that offers hope and a better life for the people of this country. We have enough media whores in the process; let us find a true savior of the American way of life. If you vote your convictions then my hat is off to you. But if you vote because you are pissed that your candidate did not make it, then I question your sanity. A vote for Nader reminds me of something Einstein once said, "insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome".
