- from Arizona Star -
"McCain told the Star that, like Bush, he believes "all points of view" should be available to students studying the origins of mankind.
The theory of intelligent design says life is too complex to have developed through evolution, and that a higher power must have had a hand in guiding it."

McCain shows his true colors.
No big surprise there.

This whole Creationist/ID "debate" is a thinly veiled attack on science,
and most importantly the scientific method. McCain is just proving he's a good foot soldier for industry and corporatism.
Attacking the bona fides of science using religion has a purpose.
Legitimizing Creationism and ID pays off big time for industry; it turns conclusions reached by scientists about environmental and health issues into 'questions of faith'.
The scientific truth about issues relating to the power, food and pharma industries cause huge amounts of profits - billions every year.
By using Creationism/ID to 'poison the well', corporate entities {with the help of political shills like McCain} hope to make science facts and conclusions into 'points of view' - a matter of faith.
