I thought I heard Howard Dean this evening saying that a frontrunner must be decided via this primary, that it was not possible for this neck-and-neck 'race' to be carried to the summer convention for resolution because if that happened there wouldn't be enough time till Election Day for the chosen candidate to campaign competitively.
I believe I understood Dean correctly. Did I?
If I did, then I must complement progessive radio show host Mike Malloy for his prediction, because it seems so plausible in the light of Dean's view. Malloy predicted that something would transpire to allow Hillary to claim the the delegates her votes earned in Michigan and Florida, despite primary restrictions.
Help me sort this one out, please.
My first reaction to Howard Dean's words was "How dare anyone take away the convention bargaining process". But then as I think on it, I wonder how much time could be spent on the platform if still more time had to be spent deciding the candidate.
Do I just have Super Tuesday Exhaustion?
