Well ... the Clintons are at it again. I have to hand it to them; they really know what they’re doing, in a sleazy sort of way.
Hillary Clinton is the candidate who won NY, NJ and California on Tuesday. She is the candidate who has the establishment securely in her corner. She is the candidate with more delegates and more favors to call in and more presidents in her house.
Yet, Hillary Clinton is claiming that she has no money. She’s claiming that she can’t win any of the next dozen primaries and caucuses. She’s claiming that her only hope – her last gasp – lies in Texas and Ohio in March.
Hillary Clinton is playing a political game. She is positioning herself to have it all (it typical Clinton fashion). If she loses the primaries/caucuses in Louisiana and Nebraska and Maine and DC and Virginia and Hawaii and Wisconsin and everywhere else, she can simply say, "Obama had natural advantages and I never had a shot their anyway."
But, if she calls in enough favors and strong arms enough locals and pulls out a squeaker in, say, Virginia, she can stand up and pump her fists and deem herself the "comeback gal."
This strategy is transparent, and the media talkers are falling for it hook, line and sinker.
Let’s just hope that she does lose in the next dozen or so states and has to pin all her hopes on a large state with lots of delegates. The Guiliani strategy is sure to work this time!
