I live in a suburb of Baltimore saw an ad aired during CSI.
I don't watch a lot of network television but I think the ad was dead-on.
It was aimed at labor being sent overseas. This isn't a huge topic of discussion right now, Iraq and other economic issues are taking center stage. But to Baltimore, this is a critical thing. I know of several laborers in Baltimore who have been laid off recently.
They weren't minimum wage jobs either, they were unskilled labor workers for 15 dollars an hour. How can an American company afford to pay their workers that amount plus benefits when people in Southeast Asia are working for less than a dollar? These people don't have insurance now, they don't have an income, and now they can't pay their mortgage.
The ad was smart and well-placed.
