I was a little disturbed watching Buchanan and Matthews basically agree with Ferraro last night and defend her, changing the context. But after seeing Olbermann's smackdown, this was a little surprising:
On Abrams' awful show, Buchanan pulled his not surprisingly Ferraro-ish race rhetoric yet again (how does he survive on TV?) - Keli Goff replied angrily and a clearly annoyed Buchanan pulled a Bill O'Reilly and told her to shut up.
Rachel Maddow stepped in and told him he was out of line.
While overall Buchanan's defense of Ferraro was not as blatantly pushy as he was on Hardball
( see http://www.msnbc.msn.com/... ) -
coming just minutes after Olbermann's righteous rampage, maybe MSNBC need to look inwards on their own questionable words.
Regardless, I think anyone can agree that when Pat Buchanan is your strongest media apologist, you're not in good company.
