Bush's current Press Secretary (Dana Perino) said this tonight on The Daily Show
To me, this has to be part of the rallying cry for the Democratic party, no matter which candidate is the nominee. John McCain has to play an extremely difficult dance of trying to keep the "Bush faithful" (after all, 1/5 of the country still somehow approves of the job he's doing) while still trying to be a maverick who pulls Independents and non-Bush supporters within the party.
The fact that McCain worked hard to get Bush re-elected simply must be screamed from the mountaintops and be the type of thing to kick around long enough to be part of one of the national debates.
We've got a chance here people- LET'S USE IT!
Here it is again...
"No one worked harder to re-elect George Bush in 2004 than John McCain"- Dana Perino
