Dear Mr. Hannity
From behind my stupid pen name derived from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie of 1990, I write tonight with a challenge. It is almost, nay, certainly 100% likely you will never see any of these words, but the challenge must be made.
For many years Mr. Hannity, I have heard and seen you say many things I find insane, but did not doubt that you actually believed them. I simply thought you were fundamentally wrong at just about everything one could be wrong about.
I have seen your book titled "Deliver Us From Evil: Defeating Terrorism, Despotism, and Liberalism". I think it is ridiculous that you would lump half the country, if not more, in with terrorists and despots, but you have the right to that opinion.
Over the last few days though, Mr. Hannity, you have tried to position yourself as a crusader against racism. Despite your past ties to Hal Turner, despite continuing to sing the praises of Ann Coulter who called John Edwards a "faggot", despite looking past the ties of McCain to people such as Robertson, Falwell, Hagee and Parsley, you have expressed concern that Obama may share the same views as Jeremiah Wright, and this would mean that in your view - a racist and anti-semite - would be the president.
I find it hard to understand how someone who writes off half the country as 'evil' can point at any other human being as divisive, let alone racist. On this new push from Fox, this witch hunt, this trial against Barack Obama's blackness, this trial increasingly seemingly against the black church itself, in my eyes you move from self deluded fool to transparent liar. There is only one thing you could possibly do to convince me, and that is take a lie detector test.
If you have the cojones to attack the patriotism of those who question the president, and yet have the cojones to attack the would-be president as a racist, you should also have the cojones yourself to answer a few questions on the air - to actually earn the right to dare call anyone else names - to dare attack church after church in a desperate attempt to marry their views to Barack Obama...
I would like to see how the test shows your answer to these questions:
- Do you think any one race is better than another?
- Do you think any one race is entitled to be lead this country over another?
- Do you hate liberals more than you love America?
- Are black people entirely responsible for their own situation?
- Is todays generation of white people blameless for todays racial division?
- Is Islam an inferior religion?
7. Do you still admire Hal Turner?
Are you afraid to have this type of conversation Sean Hannity? I think you are. Are you afraid to lose your self appointed moral high ground, your Ailes appointed position to finger wave at members of society who stand in the way of those who share your political views? I think you are.
If you don't rise to this occasion, despite my lowly nature even within this very website, despite my silly user name and inflated rhetoric, despite my obvious bias, despite the sheer impossibility you would ever read these words - I will reserve the right to play by the same unfair rules you have decided only you and your friends at Fox News should:
I will reserve the right to say you hate America. I will reserve the right to call you a racist. I will reserve the right to look past all of the negative tactics and self delusion of the left. I will reserve the right to disavow any connection to divisive persons in my own past. I will reserve the right to be an absolute jackass and scream over anyone who disagrees with me.
I will reserve the right to be an callous, worthless mess of a human being. I will reserve the right to be an absolute reflection of a monstrous blowhard named Mr. Sean Hannity.
