My idea is that Hillary bows out. If she doesn't, the Democrats should refrain from attacking each other, and should start uniting in attacking McCain. If they can't do that, then Obama should ignore Hillary, as the nomination math is in his favor. If he can't do that, then let's just scrap Obama and Hillary and bring a uniting candidate...Al Gore.
I'll keep this short.
First off, Hillary is done. Even if she wins the next 8 states, she will still be losing to Barack. And that's not happening, as states like Mississippi, Michigan, and Wyoming promise to be Obama country. She should bow out.
Second (and since the first is not going to happen), the Democrats should COMPLETELY refrain from attacking each other from now on. We know Hillary sent Bush a blank check for war in Iraq, we know Barack leaves 15 million out, yada yada yada. Enough. It's going nowhere. John McCain is the nominee, and we need to JUST attack him. The Republicans had a unified candidate in 2004, and were able to sit back and laugh while the Democrats tore each other up. We can't afford a repeat. McCain is vulnerable and we need to go after him and NOT after each other. I am an Obama supporter, and while I think he's clearly better than Hillary, I would take Hillary over McCain. As would all of us. We've had a fun run at bashing each other. Now we gotta go after the Republican, the favorite: John McCain.
Third, if Hillary starts saying 15 million people this, or if Barack says "there are Washington politicians who sent Bush a war that are still running for president," then I say: que se vayan todos: Away with them all. At that point, Howard Dean stomps his foot down and says either you're gonna stop attacking each other, or we are going to HAND the nomination to someone else.
Fourth, if Hillary and Barack refuse this offer, I say we support the man who can bring both sides together: AL GORE for president of the United States.
