It looks like the deciding factor in Ohio and Texas were the late deciding voters who made up their minds this past week (I understand that Texas is still undecided at 12:34 am but the point, I think, is still valid).
6 out of 10 late deciders broke towards Hillary Clinton. This does indicate the Hillary Clintons's strategy of FEAR & SMEAR worked.
What should Obama do?
Hillary has dominated the message the past two weeks and it has been damaging to Obama.
- The 3am ad (exploiting the fear of the unknown)
- The Obama is a muslim whisper campaign ( The xenophobia of America and the hatred towards muslims because of 9/11 and the racial divisions - whites vs blacks in Ohio, blacks vs hispanics in Texas)
- The Obama is not a patriotic American campaign (exploits the Obama is a liberal and may be a secret muslim)
- The Obama is lying about NAFTA campign
- The Obama has less experience than her or McCain campaign
And a long time favorite of the Republicans to motivate their base and resonates with blue collar workers
- the liberal media is against us.
It looks like Obama has positioned himself to fight McCain but Hillary has been keeping him her target.
So if Obama does fight back (because let's face it Hillary is not really vetted) he may start to lose his appeal.
How does Obama fight back? How should he fight back?
