I am just another voter you will not listen to Senator, but who knows?
Senator Clinton,
I respect your career and service to this great country. Not only have you been a great first lady, but have done well in the Senate. I still think you have a distinguished career ahead of you.
But, I must ask you to step aside in this race. Not for me or because some pundits in the media say so. But because you are tearing this party and country apart. Before this last week of disgraceful behavior on your part, I thought you could win this nomination on you appeal and background. Now I see that it is a false face you put on to your campaign. I really feel you will do or say ANYTHING to get elected. This saddens me.
I am 35 years old. I have never voted. Why? Because I felt politicians like you do not deserve my vote. When this contest started it really got my gears turning that I would truly be able to make a decision with my vote for two of the greatest candidates in American history. I found myself getting more involved in the political system. I decided on a party to support and really got into the whole process. But you have taken that choice away from me. You have taken that enthusiasm away from me and I am depressed about it.
I served this country in the first Gulf war. I think I know who can be a good commander and chief. I just don't feel I would follow you into any battles. You wouldn't be a strong leader, but a opportunistic one like so many before you. How do I know this? Your manipulation of the media recently thru lies, deceit, race-baiting and religious fear mongering. This may seem like a good strategy to appeal to the less informed and less educated because they are a large demographic. But it only goes to cut deeper the divide between race, class and religious beliefs. At this point, I think you are willing to destroy the Democratic party to meet your own ambitions. You have already proven you would throw a fellow Democrat under the bus to meet this goal. This past weekend is a prime example.
Now I hear of lawsuits and demands you are making of any future contests. Also the fight you are trying to do to seat Michigan and Florida delegates even tho you did not win those fairly. I can only assume you barely have enough favors and money to get you to Pennsylvania and have used so much political capitol that you will owe so many special interests if you do get into office, that you wont get anything done that is promised. I know you will do the same low minded tactics right before Pennsylvania to get that vote. I know you will yell and scream all the way to the convention. And just may get your way like a spoiled child whose father gives in after a long tantrum. Then you will set the Democratic party back 30 years.
You have said in the past that the media is picking on you. Have you heard what they are saying about the Democratic party? It's worse. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING in your campaign has done anything to unite this country. You have gone for what divisive demographics you feel can get you just enough votes to pull things out. You have done NOTHING to reinvigorate the Democratic party for the next 30 years. You have done NOTHING to seize the opportunity to take advantage of the Republican party's lowest approval ratings of all time. You Ma'am are a divider, not a UNITER. And I will not be a part of it.
Next to me at my desk is my voter registration form. I haven't sent it in. Why? Because if I did and you steal this nomination thru back room, fear mongering, illegitimate means, I will feel dirty for being part of a old dirty process that sickens me.
So please Senator, step aside. The math and upcoming primaries are not in your favor. Or take the VP spot. Do something HONORABLE in this campaign because so far you have done nothing resembling that so far. If you are as great as you make yourself out to be, you will do that for not only the sake of the Democratic party, but America as well. Step aside.
But you won't. And this registration will sit on my desk till President McCain's 4 years are up.
Signed
Disenfranchised Voter
