I've been a fence-sitter for months now.
Some days, I would lean Obama and then, for one reason or another, return to my fence perch, just waiting to support the ultimate nominee.
But today, someone convinced me to support Barack Obama.
Was it . . . Senator Kennedy?
Was it . . . Chris Dodd ?
Was it . . . John Kerry ?
Was it my mother and sister who are committed supporters of Barack Obama?
NO.
It was you . . . HILLARY CLINTON.
Yes, today, in an unusal twist of events, you, Hillary Clinton convinced me to support Barack Obama.
Let's go back a few years, yes I was there.
Where, you ask?
Well, the answer is at both of Bill Clinton's Inaugurals.
Both of them.
I was a true supporter.
I became disillusioned during the second term, but still spent years defending both you and President Clinton. You have no idea.
I'm nothing if not loyal.
Over the last two days, I began to resent you.
But today, your ruthless tactics make me realize that
it's clear:
you will try to win at any costs.
You have put yourself above the best interests and future of the Democratic Party. And I'm not into that.
In fact, thanks for the heads up, because until today, I really couldn't decide for whom to vote.
Good luck with the McCain lovefest. And you might want to give Lieberman a call or at least a text message. I'd hate to break up that alliance.
