At the risk of beating a dead horse, [insult removed], Wolfson's slur of Obama "acting like Ken Starr" is every bit as bad and likely worse than Samatha Powers' "monster" comment.
How do I know that? James Carville told me. More after the flip.
Who is Ken Starr? James Carville had an answer:
I wrote an entire book about the guy, in which I elaborated on my contention that he is an abusive, privacy-invading, sex-obsessed, right-wing, constitutionally insensitive, boring, obsequious, and miserable little man who has risen further in this life by his willingness to suck up to power than his meager talents and pitiful judgment would have ever gotten him.
Carville also likened Starr to lower forms of invertebrates:
As with mosquitoes, horseflies, and most bloodsucking parasites, Kenneth Starr was spawned in stagnant water.
Unfortunately, it's hard to get a Google search done on "Kenneth Starr" and "insult" done anymore, because the recent unpleasantness sucks up the results. But here's a list of what I could find of Democrats and their opinions about Kenneth Starr:
Al Gore - "Call Starr an Asshole"
And finally, none other than Hillary Clinton called Ken Starr part of an "evil minded" group of people.
So don't tell me the comment of a volunteer foreign policy advisor is anything near as bad as your main, paid professional communications person saying that Senator Obama is acting like Kenneth Starr, Hillary.
