This is why I don't watch the news. Stupid Traditional Media, trying to find a story where there is none. Talk about sensationalistic. Jimmy Carter goes on a diplomacy trip to meet Hamas and the first thing they ask is... ooooh is it gonna hurt Obama? You can almost imagine their faces filled with joy that they might have found something to stick to Mr. Teflon. Stupid, I know, but the news is no news, and the need for a independent news stations and cable networks is growing.
I do not have a TV... well, I do, but I don't have cable, so that defeats the point of having one right? Except the occasional movie or TV series on DVD, I don't watch it that often. Just when I thought the "shock and awe over someone who knows someone who knows someone said something or did something stupid" crap was over, MSNBC flames to the rescue.
Headlines: Carter's trip a problem for Obama?
Yes. You read that correctly.
MSNBC decides instead of educating its readers on the conflict in the Middle East, and Carter's position on Palestine, they decide they need to take a stab at Obama. Yep.

Carter's trip a problem for Obama?
Here's the meat of the non-story,according to MSNBC First Read: ( I added some commentary in bold)
Carter's decision to meet with Hamas could have blowback for Obama
Really, because I thought maybe having a candidate who's husband earned 800,000.00 from promoting Columbia FTA would be a blow or that Chief Strategist (who ain't fired BTW.) sneaking off to COLOMBIA and giving the good old wink wink.. or all that money Mr. Wolfson made from his old job promoting Columbia free trade would be considered a blowback .... but I guess not..
In Nigeria last week, Carter signaled his support for Obama, without officially endorsing him So... um, what's the problem, I like a good burger, but you don't see me getting in trouble for the Costco meat recall.. .
Asked about that, sources close to both Obama and Carter told NBC NEWS that they are ducking a formal endorsement to avoid alienating Jewish voters critical of the former president's Middle East policies
Who are these sources anyways? Are we talking close like Venus and Serena or close like Ike and Tina? WHERE ARE THESE SOURCES?! Or could it be the fact that people who don't pay attention can't understand how someone can like someone without sharing their views... Isn't that Wright?.
Carter is a superdelegate and has long had rocky relations with the Clintons. Yea, I wouldn't send Christmas cards to people who deem me as the example of the problem with an inexperienced presidency either...
Alright Kossacks? What do you guys think?
Here's my view:
I really believe all of the attacks, from the "Obama is Muslim" emails to the Farakkan debacle is just a ploy at discrediting Obama with Jewish voters and to view him as a soft supporter of Israel. The whole Wright scandal isn't working, his church's tenuous praise of Farakhan isn't working, so let's try this out for size. Obama has firmly shown his support time and time again for Israel, yet the media and Factless News is promoting a litmus test for patriotism.
Didn't we just talk about how Jimmy just said that he is not going to announce his support for anyone until after the convention. He just thinks Obama is a good guy.... I wonder if the roles were reversed and Sen. Clinton's name was inserted for Sen. Obama... Would the press make the same stink about it?
