Today, BET founder, Clinton supporter, and Charlotte Bobcats owner Bob Johnson said this about Geraldine Ferraro's comments:
Geraldine Ferraro said it right. The problem is Geraldine Ferraro is white. This campaign has such a hair trigger on anything racial. It is almost impossible for anybody to say anything.
Well, I'm a Bobcats season ticketholder and I cannot hold my tongue anymore. Mr. Johnson has made some egregious comments during the election (comparing Obama to Sidney Poitier in 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner'), and was one of the people who signed that infamous letter to Nancy Pelosi.
Enough is enough.

Mr. Johnson,
I've been a Bobcats season ticketholder since 2004. I campaigned for the uptown arena, and have continually sung the praises of the NBA in Charlotte, and the Bobcats organization in particular.
I wanted you to know that I am thoroughly disgusted with your continued public campaign against Senator Barack Obama. Your comments prior to the South Carolina primary, the letter you co-wrote to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and finally your recent defense of Geraldine Ferraro's comments absolutely demand, that I, someone who has supported you & the Bobcats, speak out.
Senator Obama is not in the position he is because of his race, as Ms. Ferraro and you have stated. He is going to win the Democratic nomination because he represents everything Senator Clinton is not: an honest politician, not beholden to corporate interests, and most importantly: not making this election about a personal, insatiable hunger for power, as Ms. Clinton is. And you, of all people, should see this. Or at the very least, you should not take every opportunity to denigrate Senator Obama, who may very well be the first African-American president.
I can see see no reason why an intelligent man like you could steadfastly support a politician like Ms. Clinton, who has shown herself to be corrupt, dishonest, and willing to adopt any tactic in order to win the presidency. I'm left wondering if you have some sort of personal stake in a potential Hillary Clinton presidency.
You should be ashamed of yourself, Mr. Johnson. I'm embarrassed to be a season ticketholder and will certainly think twice about continuing to support the franchise.
