In the spirit of last night's debate, where every bit of "specious and gossipy trivia that already has been hashed and rehashed" was fair game, I thought it might be appropriate to start the day-after with a little Hillary rehashing. Part of the uproar around Reverend Jeremiah Wright was his exclamation to, "God Damn America!" and his anti-semitic remarks. How quickly we forget the claims that Hillary once made a similar statement and the claims that arose during her Senate Campaign that in the past she had uttered anti-semitic statements. Why don't we spend a month rehashing these issues? Why not let the voters of Pennsylvania decide if these events really took place? Lets drag Hillary in front of the Stephanopoulos's of the Network News, so they can drill her with questions on these pointless issues.
Did Hillary really make the following Reverend Wright-like statement in 1991:
"Where is the G-damn f**king flag? I want the G-damn f**king flag up every f**king morning at f**king sunrise."
It has been published in three books that she made the statement. See here, and here, and here, and here.
Why not investigate this claim? We can drag the Arkansas state troopers, that claim she made the statement before the world, and lets decide if Hillary said this or not. Lets see how much time we can spend every day discussing this issue.
Did Hillary really make anti-semitic statements, like Dick Morris and others have claimed?
Lets decide if Hillary really made these statements; let Pennsylvania voters decide after we spend five days talking about it 24/7.
These statements would appear to cover the same "debate" issues, claimed to be important enough to waste fifty-two minutes of primetime television on, during ABC's debate. Why aren't these legitimate issues, if Reverend Wright's statements, and the flag claims from the ABC debate are legitimate issues?
The claims here are that Hillary made these statement's, not someone associated with her. If she did make this statement about the flag, what does it indicate about the hypocrisy of her statements about Reverend Wright? What does it say about her real character? Who is the real Hillary, behind the multi-million dollar PR campaign to paint her in a presidential image?
Why not dig up as many past claims about Hillary as possible, recast them in an April 2008 light, and rehash until we are blue in the face. It is not like there are any real issues to discuss. Bring on:
Peter Paul,
Norman Hsu,
the Paw family,
and chinatown-gate
(This is the one where "dishwashers, waiters and others whose jobs and dilapidated home addresses seem to make them unpromising targets"--donated large amounts to Hillary Clinton's Campaign, and where these donations took place eventhough "in some cases, donors said they felt pressure to give" from neighboorhood associations, or where the donars lacked the "legal-resident status required for giving campaign money.")
Bring on David Rosen.
Lets not forget the indictment of David Rosen for filing false reports with the FEC in regard to underreporting inkind donations from the Peter Paul fundraising event held in August of 2000. While Rosen was later aquited becasue jurors believed "Mr. Rosen when he testified that he had relied on others for information about the costs of the gala, and perceived him merely as a conduit for information," many questions about this event still occur. Who were those "others" that Mr. Rosen relied on to fudge the costs of the Peter Paul event; what did they know and when did they know it? Was Hillary Clinton one of them?
Bring on Aaron Tonkenand Cynthia Gershman.
In the following quote Tonken alleges Cynthia Gershman was at the heart of, yet another, Hillary bundling scandal, which sounds very conspicuously like countless other Clinton campaign, bundling scandals, including the Hsu mess mentioned above (see above links):
"Here's an example: I came up with what I thought was a great idea to make it look as though support were coming from a lot of little donors, instead of one big one. I proposed that [Democratic donor] Cynthia [Gershman] would write a check for 40 grand, which she was willing to do, and I would run it through one of my accounts and emerge with cash and started giving it out in one-thousand- or two-thousand-dollar chunks to 20 or 30 people. They would then turn around and write personal checks of their own for the same amount, and that would be 'their' contribution. Sounded good to me, but when I presented it to David he laughed for about three minutes straight. When we got down to it, though, he told me to go ahead." See here.
Bring on Hassan Nemazee and Faraj Aalaei.
Did Hillary take money from wealthy donors with connections to the Iranian Regime? I found this story on the Shawn Hannity website-- the same person who dropped the weather underground question to Stephanopoulos-- so this has to be fair game now, too!
What did Hillary know and when did she know it in regard to all these campaign fraud issues? She either was directly involved or she has demonstrated a clear lack of leadership by surrounding herself with unscrupulous, crooked staff members and associates. What about these questionable associations with the folks Hillary calls her friends? Aren't these issues and associations as important as the Weather Underground? Now that the Weather Underground was brought up last night, the above issues-- that all took place during Hillary's Senate career-- have received less attention by the Network News than events that took place when Barack Obama was eight years old.
Why not start talking about all this Hillary nonsense, too, ABC?
