I was just reading the WaPo and came across an article that caught my attention. It is titled Bill Ayers has a Blog -- and regrets.. I also went to his blog and read a little deeper. The time he was involved in could be labeled hectic and an upheaval was occurring at the time. I may not agree with all of his methods but many decided at the time to voice their disgruntlement in different ways.
His views are interesting and I would like to see what others think of him. I read previous post on Mayor Daly saying he knows him as well. As a group we are all tired of guilt by association and gotcha politic I have listened to the crap about how who you know or associate with shows judgment. I will just raise the bulls--t flag on that. More after the cut.
I had never heard of him until the last debacle oops debate. I was five in '69 when he turned himself in. So if others know more please post it. It is in itself an interesting chapter in our American history. On one hand you had MLK and the nonviolent groups and on the other you had people wanting change brought about through violent means. I was looking through a child's viewpoint and didn't really understand all of it. But looking back now and trying to pass this on to my kids and grandkids all information helps.
This is my second diary and I hope it makes some sense.
Be Well
