Quick report on early bird voting from Main Line of Philly suburbs
I was at my polling place at 6:55 a.m.; it opened at 7:00 a.m. When I got there, there was already a line:
I was number 7 in line.
Interestingly, of the 6 people in front of me, 3 were Republicans and 3 were Democrats. (Ron Paul is still on the Republican ballot and there are a few contested state contests on the Republican side.)
I experienced no problems and the electronic machines, which are not new, worked just fine. I have been told that PA voters also need to vote for the designated delegates for their favored presidential candidate, but now I am hearing that this isn't the case. The list of delegates appears with the name of the candidate to whom they are pledged.
By the time I left, at 7:15ish, the line for voting had at least 20 people in it. Based on my prior experience voting in this precinct (for the past 12 years), this bodes for record turnout.
