One(of many) of the new campaign meme coming out of the Clinton camp after PA primary is if we used the Republican winner take all system she would be ahead. Once again she is wrong!!!
The theory is whoever wins the most delegates for a state wins all the delegates for that state. Very similar to the electoral college system that basically got us in the mess we are currently in with the 2000 fiasco, that many people want to change because it is undemocratic.
Well let's use that system and apply it to the Democratic primary, so far:
Hillary wins: NH 22, Samoa 3, Az 56, Ak 35, Cal 370, Mass 93, NJ 107, NM 26, NY 232, Ok 38, Tenn 68, Oh 141, Pa 158 = 1349 delegates
Obama wins: Ia 45, SC 45, Bama 52, Al 13, Col 55, Con 58, Del 15, Abroad 7, Ga 87, Id 18, Ill 153, Kan 32, Min 72, Mo 72, ND 13, Ut 23, La 56, Neb 24, Wsh 78, VI 3, Me 24, DC 15, Md 70, Va 83, Haw 20, Wis 74, Tx 193, Vt 15, Wyo 12, Miss 33 = 1460 delegates
There might be some questions among Hillary supporters about Texas. There will be more pledged Obama delegates from Texas in Denver, contrary to Hillary/MSM spin, Obama won Texas.
Obama still has a smaller but still significant lead of 111 delegates and no super-delegates to save HRC. But the race is not over, 1609 needed for nomination.
Let's look at the rest of the race: Obama wins NC 115 & Ore 52. Game over! Of course, Clintonistas will bring up Mich/Fla again which Republicans cut the delegate count in half, which would give Clinton an additional 92.5 delegates in Florida. There would have to be a redo in Michigan since Obama was not even on the ballot and Michigan's back-up plan was always a caucus, an easy Obama win. This back-up plan was blocked by Clinton backing Gov. Granholm and others because Obama would win - plain & simple!
So even if we used the Republican plan Clinton is losing and would lose this race and it would be over in May, probably in Indiana. Sounds good to me.
