I'm sorry that Wright said the stupid, silly things he said at the Press Club.
But his original sermon that started this whole firestorm was essentially correct.....God will damn America for the atrocities we commit in the name of our people.
[that's if you believe in "God"- and if you don't, that's ok because the message is really the same]
Here is a picture from the airstrike we did in Sadr city yesterday, there have been countless moments like these that were never captured and will never be seen.
How can we commit these unfettered acts of destruction and killing, uncaring about the innocents caught in the path? How would Americans feel if this was their child being pulled out of an American home after an airstrike? Are these people considered so beneath us, such as animals, that we can do this day after day and year after year, and we care nothing about it?
It's shameful, and sinful.....

Some here are taking my title post WAY TOO literally. And are offended by it. I really don't mean to offend you. But ask yourselves why you feel offended, and answer yourself honestly.
Here's a response i made that i want quote:
I was stealing Wright's words and using them to direct our attention back towards the Iraq War.
And i succeeded ;) (me smirking...)
Of course i am not damning anyone, nor am i a religious person. But my essential message is the same, which is that our country's fate is a shared fate.
We suffer the current sins because AMERICA re-voted for this Bush/Cheney crime family. We live together, and we suffer together.
But there is redemption.
That redemption comes when we as a people FIX this. What OBAMA said yesterday is true-- it's not about OBAMA, CLINTON, OR MCCAIN...
ITS ABOUT US, the American People.
