Here's a break from the silly season.
As it stands the only way I can get to Austin is by air. It sucks and I'm not happy about it because there's something unseemly about flying in a potential aluminum bomb 30,000 feet above the ground but here are my choices:
- US Airways
- United
- Northwest
- Delta
- American
Southwest from Philadelphia does not fit the time I have to travel, so I'm stuck with these 5. I've flown the first 3 of the five and found I really don't like them at all. United won't even let me redeem the almost 24,000 miles I've built up over the last year. I'm 2000 miles too short.
Ticket fare hasn't changed. The cheapest from MDT is $370. It's been that since December.
Reviews? I'd like some reviews and stuff.
It'd be nice to take the train too, but I simply don't have the time to spend 4 days round trip via Amtrak (which incidentially, is also $370.)
and no, at that price, I will not be buying a carbon offset.
