LAS VEGAS (AP) — State Assemblywoman Francis Allen faces a felony charge of stabbing her new husband in the arm with a steak knife and then telling him to call his mother after he asked for help with the wound, according to a police report.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department report says the Republican assemblywoman and her husband of seven weeks, Paul Maineri, got into an argument over the weekend at their home and Maineri was stabbed in the left forearm.
Ok... She stabbed him and then told him to call Mommy for help? Straight Gangster!
Also in Nevada... Dawn Gibbons refuses to leave the Governors Mansion!
First lady Dawn Gibbons is fighting to stay in the Governor's Mansion, while the divorce sought by her husband makes its way through court.
Her lawyer, Cal Dunlap, filed a motion last week in opposition to Gov. Jim Gibbons' effort to have a judge award him sole occupancy of the Governor's Mansion in Carson City and award his wife occupancy of the couple's Reno home.
Jim Gibbons hasn't been staying in the tax-supported mansion since the couple's relationship began deteriorating several months ago.
Dunlap said Dawn Gibbons has agreed to stay in small living quarters separate from the main living space of the 23-room mansion and wants to remain there to fulfill her duties as first lady.
"He's always been welcome to stay there," Dunlap said. "He has left on his own.
