Ok, admittedly that's paraphrasing. But it's not so far off...
In all the (justifiable) hoopla over Hillary's comparison of the FL/MI situation to women's suffrage, the civil rights movement, elections in Zimbabwe, clubbing baby seals, the slave trade, the holocaust and the execution of Jesus Christ (well, maybe not the last few... yet), people seemed to have missed another line that she crossed in making her argument to the people. She is now essentially saying that Dems will vote for McCain if MI/FL isn't resolved in a manner that she (and by extension, her supporters) deem fair, and that such a defection is understandable and justifiable!
"If Democrats send the message that we don't fully value your votes, we know Senator McCain and the Republicans will be more than happy to have them. The Republicans will make a simple and compelling argument: why should FL and MI voters trust the Democratic party look out for you when they won't even listen to you?"
UPDATE: Thanks to second gen for the direct video.
In other words; "If you don't feel as if this matter is resolved fairly, then I don't blame you if you vote for McCain because you have a reasonable justification for doing so."
WTF!!!??? How has the MSM not picked up on this one?
Post Script: I know that some have pointed out that MI/FL will be seated anyway, but that's not what's in question. The question is HOW. And the Clinton camp has been very clear that they are determined to have those delegates seated in full and as is. Accordingly, anything less than that is "disenfranchising" the voters. But we know that they wont be seated in full, so she is essentially establishing a justification for her disgruntled voters to defect. Would the Republicans make that same argument? Absolutely - but it means something else entirely when it comes from one of our own party.
