I'm currently watching "Race for the White House" on MSNBC. And for the second day in a row, Rachel Maddow has said she thinks Hillary Clinton will take this all the way to the convention. I adore Rachel, but at times, she can be a bit of an alarmist.
For example, a couple weeks ago, she kept harping day after day about where are the superdelegates? That was a during a period of time when we were getting upwards of five superdelegates a day.
But to the subject at hand. Hillary will not take this to the convention. I think the DNC and the Obama campaign will just give her all the delegates from Michigan and Florida in order to have a peaceful convention. She'll get her way, but it won't change a thing. It'll probably actually turn off many of her own delegates. Taking this to the convention would be a fatal mistake on her part. Hillary would be laughed off the stage. She'd lose respect in the party, and she could kiss her political future good-bye. They'd never forgive her for making a such a stink.
So again, as much as I like Rachel, she's just plain wrong about this. I wish she'd move on to a different line of thought.
