FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. (AP) - Three-time melanoma survivor John McCain appears cancer-free, has a strong heart and is in otherwise general good health, according to eight years of medical records reviewed by The Associated Press.
A while back, Sandy Sand wrote at OpEdNews:
“When is the press going to put the obvious large lumps in McCain's left cheek under the scrutinizing microscope of their probing cameras and questions?”
I have found no mention of Senator McCain's facial bulges in the coverage of his medical records. In “WikiAnswers, I found this:
John McCain was diagnosed with melanoma (malignant skin cancer) on his cheek 5 years ago which he says has left his cheek puffy looking.
Has anyone heard of such a thing? I know several people that have been treated for melanoma. I’ve never seen anything like the left side of McCain’s face resulting from cancer treatment. It sure looks more like a growth than “puffiness” to me.
Are there any Kossack Doctors out there that would care to speculate about the apparent tumor(s) on the side of McCain’s face?
Change of subject, sort of...
With all the quotes from preachers lately, I’m getting a little nervous about the possibility of a president Huckabee.
The last 2 Republican veeps have been Dan Quayle and Dick Cheney.
As frightening as a McCain presidency is, it could get even worse if he croaks during his first term.
We are facing the possibility of a Republican president whose prospect for living out his first term is a coin toss (the "invasive melanoma" he had on his temple 8 years ago, has a 65% 10 year survival rate. Life expectancy for men overall is 74).
So, I've been stressing out over the possibility of:
A) Obama puts Senator Clinton, with visions of Sirhan Sirhan in her head, on the bottom half of the ticket to shut her up and end the primary, thereby taking the luster off Obama for many of his enthusiasts (especially independents and cross-over Republicans), unifying the Republican party, and motivating the Christian right that put Bush in power (but so far show little interest in McCain). The result? Democrats blow another one.
B) Hillary drags this out until the convention, gets passed over for the VP slot, and enough bitter Hillary supporters sit out the election, or vote for McCain, that Obama loses the general, and is blamed for failing to unify the party by refusing to pick Hillary as a running mate.
Senator Clinton needs to not only get out of the primary, but get out of the VP sweeps as well.
And she needs to do it soon.
