Recently I started a daily diary called "Superdelegate of the Day" and I highlight uncommitted superdelegates and their debts to the Clintons. Yesterday I posted about the very popular former CO Gov. Roy Romer. At least one poster responded that they called Romer's office and spoke directly to Romer himself. Romer seemed surprised to receive a call, but was very pleasant!
Today I'm not featuring anyone new, but rather posting Romer's info again and asking YOU to give him a very polite CALL.
Name: Roy Romer
Age: 80
Sex: Male
Race/Ethnicity: White
State: Colorado (Obama won 67-32)
Superdelegate Because: DNC Party Boss
Occupation:
Former Governor of Colorado
Former Superintendent of Los Angeles Schools
Tidbits:
He's the "Romer" in Romer v. Evans (though he opposed the amendment)
He apparently will take your call directly!
Very popular CO governor!
Why He Might Be Holding Out (aka Clinton/Old Politics Ties):
National co-chairman of the Clinton-Gore 1996 campaign.
Donated $1000 to Hillary Clinton in 2007
Democratic Party National Chairman during Clinton-era
Why He Should Endorse Obama Now:
He previously said "The ultimate issue is who has the most delegates."
There's no way Hillary can end up with the most delegates
Obama is also ahead in popular vote, states won
Obama won Colorado 67-32

Please be very polite when you call! This guy is very popular and could swing CO in Obama's direction in the general election.
