Joe Scarborough takes shot at Keith Olbermann on Morning Joe.
Tucker Carlson is on Morning Joe right now, and he and Joe Scarborough are talking about the media's so-called love affair with Obama. What makes it funny is that this was in the context of John McCain, and how John McCain is gonna have a hard time because of it. As if the media isn't in love with Teflon John. Scarborough is claiming the New York Times would say the gas tax-holiday is a good idea, if Obama supported it.
Anyway, Tucker just said that it's more than love. He said that it's the kind of love that anyone who's been a 9th grade boy, understands the species of love. "it is red in the face. I think about you when I go to bed, too embarrassed to stand up, sealed with a kiss love."
Scarborough chimed in saying: "The media's love affair with Barack Obama is all-consuming, it is a 9th grade love affair. Where if you say anything about their love interest, they get very red-faced, and angry, and emotional. They can't really think logically about it."
Tucker responded along the same lines, and then Scarborough added: "Perhaps that's why Hillary Clinton was compared to David Duke."
That last line was a direct shot at Olbermann. This is a typical tool of Scarborough's. Whenever someone has a good point about something, he tries to trivialize and delegitimize them by dismissing them into a box. He does that by calling people elite, Obama lovers, etc.
I find it funny, since Scarborough has been a Hillary shill for months now. Repeating her talking points ad nauseum, getting angry and red-faced and emotional. He's really one of the bigger hypocrites I've seen on tv.
The hypocrisy also reminds me of how he gets so condescending when a Democrat tries to talk about how Republicans think, yet he'll constantly smugly say he knows how working-class Democrats think.
On another note, Tucker just said "I think the Democrats are on the cusp of nominating the weaker candidate." Funny, since I remember him saying repeatedly that he thought it was insane for the Democrats to nominate Clinton. He said Obama seemed like such the obvious, smarter choice to him, and he thought that if the Dems nominated Clinton, they'd wake up the morning after thinking "what the hell did we just do?"
