I have been digging into the line:
With oil companies receiving more than $4 for each gallon of gas they sell, Senate Democrats today tried to eliminate the $17 billion in tax breaks Congress has awarded them in recent years.
And I am trying to find the details.
I have been googling all morning and all I can find is the comment that I put above. I looked at H.R. 6 which was supposed to have the information but nothing I can make into real numbers. This link has some information but not all of it.
So where does this magical number come from? Before you all think I am a lurker/troll I am trying to get information to deal with folks who think Exxon/Mobil and the like need more help from the government. I will compile the results and update the diary.
