I just heard NBC's Brian Williams portray Montana, my home state for 28 years, as portrayed by him visiting the motorheads at Gallatin Motor Speedway in Bozeman , Montana.
Brian Williams has proven himself as a complete idiot. Next to no one in Montana spends their weekends doing motorsports in Montana. A scant few people do, including a few of my friends. The vast majority of Montanans are out fishing and camping not watching race cars here in Big Sky Country!
Brian Williams reach at relevancy was a direct attempt to upstage his predecessor's role, Tom Brokaw, a Montana resident and fly fisherman of Big Timber. South Dakota native Brokaw has shown himself to an outdoorsman and an environmentalist long before he retired to south central Montana.
Brian Williams is attempting to show Montana as some sort of drier version of Georgia, complete with NASCAR Dads. Look Brian, I live here. No one watches cars in Montana when they can hike, climb, fish, camp, and hunt in this state.
Your attempt to portray us as a bunch of southern motor heads shows how out of touch you are with the national audience that you attempt to serve.
