I thought someone would have posted a diary by now because I focused on taking photos (though it was recorded & excerpts will probably be posted at http://www.youtube.com/... ).
Simon Rosenberg of NDN who wrote the introduction to Crashing the Gates spoke with Markos.
SF Mayor Gavin Newsom came in a little after I did and sat down in the back to listen (he had spoken with Simon earlier in the day).
The photos were taken on June, 5th, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco during a conversation between Markos and Simon.
Many more photos of the event and lots of election related photos.
(hmmm, the video doesn't seem to be showing up even tough it does in preview, so here is a link http://youtube.com/... )
One of the things Simon talked about is how the movement that is supporting Obama needs to continue after November. Obama spoke about this at a small town hall meeting he and Michelle had in Indianapolis. I heard one reporter talk about how she wasn't impressed with it, but this video from it contains some of the most important things he's said.
He talks about how movement will continue after Nov, transparency in government, a revamped White House website, continuing town hall meetings including with cabinet
members, and how there will be some problems which won't have easy solutions.
