Rudy Guiliani predicted in an interview which is still in progress, that John McCain will base most of his campaigh on the case already made against Obama by Hillary Clinton.
He is being interviewed by Mike and the Mad Dog ,two popular New York sports gurus on radio station WFAN and TV YES Channel.Guiliani is participating in a charity golf tournement.
The former Mayor of NYC and Republican Presidential candidate, predicted McCain would win the election because of his strength in Pennsylvania and Florida.
Guiliani said he is happy in his present job at a large law firm but would definitely consider any offer from "his good friend, John Mccain, either in his cabinet or as his VP."
Guiliani said the "case Hillary Clinton made against Obama would be an extremely important factor in the campaign this Fall."
"Obama is not as well known by many Republicans as previous Democratic standard bearers," Guiliani said, "so McCain would have to put great emphasis on the negative comments made against him by his fellow Democrat,Clinton."
As to his own failed campaign, the Mayor, who came to prominence during his handling of the aftermath of 9/11 attacks on NYC, said he "thought he had a good chance but in the end John McCain was too strong for any Republican to overcome."
He lauded McCain's "unlimited energy and will to win".....(huh?)... and said McCain's age would not be an effective issue after voters see him in action during the debates and the campaign.
I have no comments; just reporting what he said.
