Aaron "Douchebag" Schock (R) is a smarmy little windbag running for the Congressional seat being vacated by Ray Lahood (R), from Central IL who resided over the Clinton impeachment trial.
Yesterday it was announced that President Bush is coming to Peoria to do a fundraiser for Schock. $500 for dinner and $5,000 to get your picture taken with the president. http://www.pjstar.com/...
If you get a chance, read the comments...hilarious!
He is running against Democrat, Colleen Callahan, and I hope you will help her any way you can. This congressional seat has been a long-held Republican seat and we have a real opportunity to snatch it away this election cycle.

On the flip side for more...
Obama has a great potential to effect this down ticket race and the Republican party is aware of this. They are so desperate to hold on to this seat, they're even willing to allow the WORST PRESIDENT EVAH to go to Peoria and fundraise for him. How desperate can you be? In the article I just linked to Steve Shearer, Schock's campaign manager said,
" the visit doesn't mean Schock shares all of Bush's political views.
"It's different eras. Aaron was 18 years old when President Bush was elected. The world was a lot different then," Shearer said. "What this is about is Aaron and the promise he holds for the future. Aaron has always chartered his own course. Any patriotic American would be honored to have the president of the United States help them."
As if to suggest anyone who doesn't want the WORST PRESIDENT EVAH to stump for them is not patriotic.
Can we match that fundraising for Colleen? Schock has currently sold 500 dinner tickets for a current total of $250,000. If 10,000 people donated just $25 over the next week for Colleen Callahan, she could match that and not have to have The WORST PRESIDENT EVAH stump for her.
If ever there was a real opportunity for your $25 donations from across the country to effect a race THIS IS THE ONE. Let's collectively send a message to the National Republican party that sending Bush to stump for Republican pukes like Schock will send cash flowing to the Democrat in that race.
In advance, I thank you all for your support for this worthy Democrat.
I'm going to show you some things on Aaron's website that are, well, beyond disturbing...with some added commentary and hopefully this will provide you with even MORE reasons to GIVE BIG to Colleen Callahan!
Aaron has a link to his viewpoint on the Republican party in IL and DC.
Here's a link to the entire article http://aaronschock.com/... but here's a few "tidbits" I thought you would all find, "interesting."
SCHOCK TO THE SYSTEM
The sad fact is that most political analysts believe the Democrats did not win control of Congress—but rather Republicans lost it.
Facts...where are these sad facts? Who are these political analysts you speak of? Are they employed by FOX News per chance?
The accomplishments of the Republican Majority in Congress since 1994 are astonishing and every American lives a better life today because of those changes made with that historic majority. Yet, beginning a few years ago, our congressional leaders and our majority who led so valiantly for over a decade, began to get tired, lose their way, get ground down, and run out of energy.
Yeah, you mean like the guy who solicited sex in a men's airport bathroom stall...and the one who was quite fond of Congressional page's. O, and lest we forget "The Hammer"...he was just another Republican douchebag. I could go on...but we get the picture. Thanks for reminding us!
Last year, the public overwhelmingly came to believe that the Republican Majority had lost its way and strayed from Republican core principles.
You mean President Bush's 23% approval rating...or should we just come right out and say his record breaking 77% DISAPPROVAL rating?
The monumental failure of Bill Clinton’s first two years in office while Democrats also controlled both the House and Senate, also brought new voters to the Republican Party. In 1994, that resulted in the first Republican Congressional Majority in 40 years.
Classic Republican tactic...when the finger is pointing in your direction, blame Clinton.
In the current elections, voters are yearning for real change. The Republican Party can offer that change from within our party and win again, or continue on a path of being the same old, same old and lose again.
Is it just me or does this sound like Obama-speak...did he just plagerize Obama only he replaced Democrat for Republican?
To succeed, Republicans need to use the transition that 2008 embodies for our national government, to renew our membership in Congress by offering the very best candidates within our party—candidates who have the ability to excite our voters again.
Seriously, I'm beginning to think this punk is copying Obama because he really doesn't have any ideas of his own. I hate to tell you Schock... but the candidate that has the ability to excite the voters has a big fat (D) behind his name.
Voters are thirsty for refreshing new ideas, straight speaking, and a reconnection with our basic conservative guiding philosophy. They are not willing to vote Republican simply based on what we oppose—they want to know what we stand FOR.
They want a rupture from the broken system in Washington, D.C. They are looking for candidates who they feel represent a clean break from all that is wrong in our national government.
Yeah, a candidate like Obama!
The 92nd State Legislative District that Aaron Schock represents is the only majority Democrat district wholly within the 18th Congressional District, yet Republican Schock has been victorious twice in that district. This demonstrates that he is supremely positioned to beat any Democrat—no matter how bad the national tide might be against the Republican Party, and no matter how much time and money national Democrats pour in to win the 18th District of Illinois.
So, what he's really afraid of is Obama effecting this down ticket race.
There you have it folks. The Illinois Republican party is on the ropes and has been for several years...they've taken a serious beating and KNOW IT.
It's time to finish them off.
The National Republican party is petrified of losing this long-standing Republican held congressional seat. Obama will finish BIG and has the potential to effect down ticket races like this one between Schock and Colleen Callahan. Adding insult to injury, Republicans are experiencing a serious backlash from voters across the nation because of their failed policies and inability to lead this nation.
Colleen needs your help. And you can effect this race with as little as $25. http://www.colleencallahanforcongres...
If you find it in your hearts to donate, send Colleen a note like this one:
I'm donating this amount of money to your campaign, please thank Aaron Schock for inviting the WORST PRESIDENT in American history to stump for him.
UPDATE: One of the comments from the pj star link concerning President Bush coming to Peoria was deleted. I want to share it with you to show you there are rumblings around here and this is chance of a lifetime for an upset in a Congressional race.
Here is one of the comments that got deleted:
$500 for dinner with the President and $5,000 to get your pictures taken with him? Why not just stop off at McDonalds, order off the dollar menu, then head on over to Walgreens and purchase a disposable camera and take your picture in front of the Summer's Eve...either way you get your picture taken with a douchebag!
UPDATED the title per commenters suggestion. TY :)
