As Americans struggle with the high cost of energy these days and politicians are (finally) talking about conserving energy -- I wondered why I have seen no stories on McCain's energy use. The guy reportedly has 8 houses. Who needs 8 houses?
Every house uses energy. Sure, McCain and his heiress second wife can afford it -- I am not worried about them. But as McCain goes on the campaign trail promoting energy independence, doesn't this start at home?
Shouldn't the press be looking into how much energy McCain's 8 houses are using, and how that compares to the average Americans' use? Do they have a staff of people at each location keeping these houses ready for their arrival? Were McCain to be elected, it would be tough for Americans to take any of his talk of conservation seriously, if he were one of the biggest energy users in his personal life.
