As you know, yesterday,
Chuck Pennacchio asked people from Pennsylvania, and in all fifty states, to submit comments and thoughts they would like read at the "Frist Filibuster" at Princeton University.
Chuck will share his thoughts and stories about the event tomorrow morning (with even more video), but I wanted to let you see a few clips before that happened, kind of like a taste-test.
Clip #1
The first clip is a brief moment of levity at the start of the event, followed by video of several of your requests submitted from across the country.

Clip #2
Much as Chuck was your voice yesterday while the eyes of the country turned towards Princeton, he will continue to be your voice in the United States Senate; a voice conspicuously absent in a government "by the people."

A few words from the organizers
LINK. The organizers have been live-blogging the event for some time now. Here are a few snippits of what they had to say while Chuck was "filibusting."
The crowd is really warming up, and I can tell you Pennachio can really speak to you. He seems to know exactly what to say, and I'm not sure but I think I've even seen some resigned applause from people holding Bush-Cheney signs. [...]
Really powerful stuff coming from Pennachio - and the crowd is responding. He points out that saving the filibuster is a bipartisan issue. This draws cheers from filibuster fans, and embarrassed shrugs from the Bush-Cheney folk. [...]
Just want to say that Chuck did a great job and got a massive round of applause from the crowd - his speech really helped get me pumped.
Clip #3
It wasn't just Democrats and Independents who desire to protect the filibuster that were at the event. When College Republicans found out MSNBC would be there--they decided they should organize a "counter rally." Chuck was not intimidated by chants of "Rick Santorum, Rick Santorum," instead, he engaged them and took their questions.

Clip #4 - Today's last piece
The final clip is Chuck discussing post September 11th and a need for a real energy policy. Not much to say about this clip; my words wouldn't do the video justice. Make sure you take a look.

I am having a tough time condensing .wmv to .mov -- if anyone has thoughts, I have River Past, but that isn't helping keep the size down -- Thanks
