In case you missed it, it was reported in the Chicago Sun-times today by Bill Zwecker that several music heavyweights have collaborated on a new music video project to promote the Obama Candidacy. The video is expected to hit the web and other outlets in 10 days or less, and includes contributions from the likes of Dave Stewart, Bono, Dr. Dre and Beyonce.
The black-and-white video includes a wide range of people singing the song -- both celebrities and regular Obama supporters. It's an inspirational kind of musical expression that conveys an upbeat, positive tone reminiscent of earlier projects like the 1985 ''We Are the World'' music video, which raised funds for famine relief in Africa.

Here is why we need to be prepared... The right-wingers are trying to create a new narrative that Obama is arrogant, a tool of the media/hollywood,etc...
This video is obviously going to get massive play, and be all over the airwaves. I am VERY WORRIED that the 'arrogant' charge is going to start to take root in middle America that Obama is just too
Hollywood/elitist. Videos like this definitely have major backlash potential! Therefore, we need to be ready for this from day one, and come up with an opposing narative: "McCain is just jealous he's getting no attention", etc. We cannot let people's excitement for Obama, and their good-intentioned attempts to help him, backfire! Please discuss here in the comments the best way we can prepare for this, and fight the backlash, if necessary.
