In 2005, when campaigning for Governor, Tim Kaine said:
"It would send a horrible message to cut and run from Iraq."
As far as I'm concerned, 'nuff said. Do we really want this guy to be Obama's running mate?? Can you imagine the McCain campaign using this against him again and again?? Check out more, from Arianna Huffington back in January 2006.
Other diarists have pointed out Kaine's support for coal energy and repealing the estate tax. But the real shocker for me, is who Kaine endorsed for President in 2004 ...

Lt. Gov. Timothy M. Kaine has endorsed Connecticut Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman for president.
"Joe's record as a state official and senator shows he has the qualities necessary to lead our nation, strengthen our economy and promote a safer world," Kaine said in a statement released yesterday.
Kaine is the first top-ranking state officeholder to endorse a Democratic presidential hopeful. Lieberman, the party's vice presidential candidate in 2000, is one of nine Democrats seeking the nomination...
In a statement, Kaine said: "Joe is the right person to revive the Harry Truman wing of the Democratic Party, which has traditionally been strong for national defense, strong for the economy and strong for equal opportunity."
Kaine said he applauded Lieberman's nomination as vice president in 2002 because "he clearly personified the party's commitment to faith, family and a values-based approach to public life."
Okay, screw the guy. Seriously.
