I liked McCain's Maverick cred.
But he still had to show me what he was made of during the campaign.
I've not liked what I've seen these last two months.
A lot of the attacks against Obama over the spring and summer weren't from McCain. They were much more generalized Right-wing Noise Machine operations. Email chains, Fox News, Talk Radio, and in-the-pocket bloggers all pushed the RNM talking points. Hardly flattering to the GOP, nevertheless they weren't McCain's attacks.
But that's changed. With the release of McCain's Pump, Obama Love, Troops, and Celeb ads, McCain has clearly staked out the nature of his campaign, has clearly defined his message: I am not Obama. (but I'm jealous of him)
That's it? That's the Maverick's campaign message? I am not Obama.
And to define that message, he's resorted to lies and distortions. This McCain isn't worth bothering with. What a waste of a campaign.
Actions speak louder than words:
June 15: Obama organizes volunteers for flood control in Quincy, Illinois.
June 14: McCain is fund-raising in California
July 20/21: Obama is in Iraq being briefed by General Petraeus.
July 21: McCain is in Kennebunkport being briefed by Bush, Sr.
July 24: Obama is in Berlin giving a speech to 200,000.
"
July 24: McCain is at Schmidt's Fudge Haus.
There's a saying where I hang out:Those that do more are more worthy.
