Last time around, it was the keynote that launched Barack into the national spotlight - thanks to his brilliant speech.
Has there been any word of who will deliver it this time? I've never heard him speak, but if he can get a top notch speech written, perhaps Scott Kleeb would be a good candidate? Could he step it up to that level?
He's running for a Senate seat that would be a huge upset if he wins. The national spotlight would give him more press than he could possibly get in any other way during his campaign. From the national perspective, he's photogenic, he's from middle America, etc.
Any other thoughts?
UPDATE: It now appears that the plum slot will go to Mark Warner - a fine choice.
