Good news from PPP! They have Obama up 47-45, same as last month. They polled over 1,000 likely voters, so this is a solid sample size, and the internals appear to be quite reasonable.
Virginia continues to be the most consistently tight state, polling-wise. Every poll out of VA for the past couple of months has shown neither candidate with more than a 2 point lead.
Colorado and Ohio appear to be just as much of a toss-up, but polling from those states has been more erratic. Fortunately for Obama, he only needs to win one of these, assuming he holds all Kerry states, plus NM and IA.
This also appears to be further evidence that Obama has stemmed the bleeding in state polling, although today is indeed the calm before the storm, and the next couple of weeks will shape the real start of the election. Still, it's nice to be in a solid position in such a key state going in to the Convention.
