Yesterday marked the start of the Democratic National Convention, but our campaign for the Employee Free Choice Act kicked into high gear over the weekend with the rollout ads to broaden support for the Employee Free Choice Act.
Included in this kickoff are two prominent billboards in Denver, full page ads in Politico and USA Today, and expansive online advertising (including here on Open Left). This is a preview of a larger campaign to make the Employee Free Choice Act a reality for workers struggling in this economy, with plans to run until the bill is passed.

American Rights at Work is releasing these ads in advance of Labor Day as part of a huge, new coordinated effort among workers’ rights advocates, progressives, and labor unions to champion this legislation. These ads help kickoff a new campaign and coordinated push for passage of this critical legislation.
Why is the Employee Free Choice Act so important? People are struggling in this country. Today's workplaces are tilted in favor of lavishly-paid CEOs, who get golden parachutes while middle-class families struggle to get by.
The Employee Free Choice Act can restore the balance, giving more workers a chance to form unions and get better health care, job security, and benefits – and an opportunity to pursue their dreams. When more workers are in unions, our economy can be strong again.
This is just the start - we can fix the middle class, but it's going to take everyone's help. As we roll out the rest of our effort, you can help by joining our campaign for the Employee Free Choice Act - sign our petition for one million supporters of the Employee Free Choice Act.
Here are the other ads we're rolling out.
