Whom is Sarah Palin, the VP Pick chosen by John McCain? As in, what has she done in Alaska?
Now, the average joe doesn't know who this woman is. She's a virtual unknown, and for obvious reasons; she's the governer of ALASKA. I don't know how many people live up there, but I'm guessing about.... nine? But to be serious for a moment, Alaska isn't something many people pay attention to, but it's Winter Wonderland for Oil Companies. There's a ton of oil up there, and Big Oil is just waiting to stick a big pipe in the snow, and take it all out, and Sarah Petrol--Palin--sorry, would love to let them do it.

She's ready to drill, drill, DRILL! And with no form of regulations, she would let them drill until there isn't any snow in Alaska due to the global climate crisis! Listen, she's in the pocket of big oil, no doubt about it. She doesn't want any form of regulations on the Oil companies; as a matter of fact, she wants them to run wild across the Alaskan tundra. I'll quote part of an interview to prove it:
Kudlow: Why don’t we just liberate, and decontrol, and deregulate the whole bloody energy business – whether it’s oil, gas, shale, nuclear, coal, natural gas, as well as wind and solar – why don’t we just decontrol, deregulate, go for an America first energy policy? Get independent of Saudi Arabia? America first. Create all of these millions of high paying jobs. Why isn’t anybody talking about that in this race? That’s the natural, Reaganesque thing to do. Isn’t it?
Palin: Yeah absolutely! You’re hitting the nail right on the head. That’s what so many of us normal Americans are asking. The same thing. Why aren’t the candidates talking like that? Where we can secure America and we can be more independent when we talk about energy sources if we could drill domestically.
Well, the reason why we wouldn't want the oil companies to run wild and free is the reason why everybody wants clean energy/alternative fuels: I DON'T WANT TO BE UNDER WATER WHEN THE FRICKIN' ICE CAPS MELT BECAUSE THE OIL COMPANIES WERE ALLOWED TO DRILL LIKE CRAZY!
But let's move on to Gay Rights. She's said she opposes gay marriage, even passing a constitutional law banning it; however, she's not that bad on it, to be fair. She vetoed a bill that would've barred gay Americans working as state employees from recieving benefits.
Now to talk about myself for a moment (sorry), my view on the matter of gay marriage is this: The government should allow civil unions, but they can't force a religion to go against it's own scripture, so they can't force a church to allow gay marriages. However, the government can't force a church to follow it's scripture either, so I believe that civil unions should be legal throughout the land, while giving a church the option to allow gay marriages in their congregation, and the option to say "no" to gay marriage.
But back to Sarah.
Sarah is also against the woman's right to choose. I don't have anything else to type about it, except she belongs to a group called "Feminists for Life".
But what I find funny is that she's been chosen by the Candidate of Experience, John McCain to be his VP pick. And why do I find this funny? She's got two years of political experience on a state level, and absolutely no experience in national politics. Barack Obama has more experience in politics than she does, which is ironic, since the man whom picked her as a VP pick has frequently criticized Obama as youthful and too inexperienced.
Hypocrisy can be hilarious.
I've got nothing more to say on the issue, except "Irony is a hoot," and "hypocrisy is hilarious."
See you tomorrow, if anything interesting happens.
