No, seriously, this isn't trolling. I confess that I'm not a liberal-this account's old user moved on awhile ago and I'm just holding up the fort- and have criticized progressives on a number of occasions RIGHT HERE, in the past. However, regarding this issue, I'm just wanting to know the honest-to-God truth about folks here. Obviously, Senator Obama, kos, and most progressive leaders tend to be, but I want to see some kind of consensus one way or another.
The mainstream opinion is that the troops deserve our respect and support, despite the fact that we don't disagree with the chicken-hawk supported policy. The dissenters have claimed that we shouldn't support the troops or the policy because the troops act as enablers. Like most Americans, I disagree with the latter perspective and find it quite offensive, but I'm curious to see what the majority view (and ratio) is here.
I'm strongly expecting one answer, but I'm curious nonetheless.
