So now Obama is a victim who called Mccain a racists. Now there is another poll that shows Mccain ahead. With Bush in the 20's and Americans demanding change, how could this have happened?
Obama has an aversion to attacking Mccain. When he does say something slightly negative, he couches it in "McCain's an honorable man" talk. When one of his surrogates slightly criticizes Mccain, he disowns that comment.
Meanwhile, even though Mccain has much less money, he has been able to carpet bomb Obama and launch laughably untrue attacks. I hate to say it, and I know people will say I'm chicken little, but if he refuses to attack Mccain, he will lose. I think Maddow said the same thing.
I know he wants to take the high road, do a different type of politics, but he surely knows that Republicans win by swiftboating. Linsley Graham was on the Sunday shows claiming that Obama called Mccain a racist. Republicans are not going to let this thing go.
So here we are again. Gore presided over one of the best economic expansions in history, but lost. Or kept it close enough to be stolen. Now American are begging Democrat to kick the Republican out. I keep hearing that the Obama team is much better than the Kerry team, but 4 years ago they said Kerry's team was better than Gore's.
Will issues end up being determinative campaigns? I hope so.
