John McCain likes to call himself a maverick. But McCain is really a cowboy, shooting from the hip to pick a Vice President who's never had national experience, but already knows how to pack in the pork and tell lies on camera. Sarah Palin, in her moment in the spotlight, chose to introduce herself to the country as a pitbull in lipstick.
But we've already got a cowboy as President and a pitbull as Vice President and they took America into war, debt, and recession. Now they want us to believe that another cowboy and another pitbull can fix our broken healthcare system, responsibly end the war in Iraq, and lower the price of gas? They must not believe Americans care, and they don't believe we can work together to fix these problems.
Barack Obama believes in America, and he believes in Americans, and he believes that together we can put this great country back on track. Starting November 4th, let's roll up our sleeves and get to work.
Whaddyall think of that as a theme?
Here's another crack at it...
John McCain doesn't believe in America. Why else would he tell falsehoods over and over? Like the story about Palin opposing the Bridge to Nowhere (cue clips of announcers and newspaper ads pointing out that that false). Or the story about how he's a maverick and a change agent, when he voted with Bush 90% of the time? Why else would his own campaign manager say his campaign "is not about the issues?"
There's a simple answer my friends - like his friends in the Republican Party and their leader George Bush, John McCain doesn't believe in America. They're hoping they can just repeat the falsehood and most Americans will be too busy to check a thousand newspapers for the truth. He doesn't believe that we can work together to fix our broken healthcare system, provide world class education for all our children, and responsibly end the war in Iraq.

Can anyone get some themes through to the Obama campaign?
