I think it's important for people to see these clips and keep them in mind with regard to Dana Perino's statement today that the Bush administration does not believe that Osama Bin Laden was the "mastermind" of the 9/11 attacks, and with the new actions by Sarah Palin and her attorneys to try to shut down the investigation into her alleged abuse of power as Governor of Alaska (more on the flip):
First, today is the anniversary of the 9/11 horrors. As we remember the victims and mourn for our country and for all the suffering and destruction these attacks brought to us not only 7 years ago, but to this day, the Bush administration asserted today that Osama Bin Laden was not the "mastermind" of the attacks and suggested that the administration had never made Osama Bin Laden the focus.
John McCain, however, seems to feel perfectly comfortable with the idea that Osama Bin Laden was the mastermind. Here he is, campaigning, telling a group of Smith & Wesson employees that he will hunt Bin Laden and kill him with a Smith & Wesson product personally, as Bin Laden is "responsible" for the 9/11 attacks (comment comes at :52 into the clip):
Second, Sarah Palin is attempting to block the Republican-led investigation into her alleged abuse of power as Governor of Alaska. Here, however, is video of Palin a few months ago stating that she welcomed this same investigation and has nothing to hide:
