Sarah Palin has claimed executive/deliberative privilege to restrict access to a large portion of her recent email correspondence. Mother Jones however has posted a PDF that catalogs 78 pages of these emails containing subject lines and recipients. Reviewing this sort of raw documentation is always fascinating.
Obviously the vast majority of this correspondence represents the mundane issues that occupy the time of any large organization. This list is nonetheless interesting in many respects.
Anyone who has ever worked in an office will recognize the pattern of an email salvo. There are two salvos involving political rivals, "Lydia" (Green) and Andrew Halcro. A third salvo involves the PSEA -- ie the union that represents the Alaska State Troopers. Todd Palin is frequently included in these emails that would seem to have little to do with either snow machines or fish pickin', or anything First Dude related.
Of course its always hard to draw conclusions from subject lines, but it certainly makes one say Hmmm....
