In that video that is circulating about Gov. Palin, what you are seeing are people being moved in the spirit. If you have never seen it, or experienced it, I imagine that it is shocking.
But I have seen and felt it. I also believe in Generational Curses. And I think that many countries in the world as well as people are living with these Generational Curses and are not aware of it.
For example, Racism can be a Generational Curse. It is passed down from parent to child. For Generations.
Israeli and Palestine conflict.
Smoking, Alcoholism... Diabetes. Some curses are societal others may be genetics. The demons are real but on a spiritual plane; things that manifest in the world may have a vibration in the spirit of you and I.
I remember going to Harlem in the 80's, an area of it was taken over by drug lords, Posses. One could feel the 'disturbance in the force' pressing all around. Some might say demons, and I would not doubt that in the height of the crack epidemic. Some people were like zombies, their spirits dulled.
You might find this funny, but Black women perming their hair straight could be a Generational Curse. During South African apartheid, hair texture was important in determining identity. Even as a child growing up in the NE of America, there was distinction between good hair and bad hair. Now...right now, women may perm their hair, chemical burns and all, not because of racism but because they want to look like their mother or aunt or the model in the magazine. But the original reason that black women wanted straight hair was because they wanted to have good hair as defined by racism. This is passed down through the generations, the latter generations not even knowing about it.
Mind, body and spirit.
Intellectual, athletic, devotional.
Those people in the video are talking on a spiritual level and the hysteria you see is sort of a spirit high. That is why they seem hysterical, crazy. The have connected to their spirit, perhaps for some, the very first time and it can be a heady experience. And it shows.
This is why in history, spirituality is so controlled and organized churches so controlling. Because if you control their spirituality, you can control the people.
In traditional cultures, spirituality is very ritualized and led by the shaman or whomever. But it is controlled with ritual...divvied out on special days, feasts...etc. It is because if left unchecked, it can be damaging if one is not lead through it. That is why I suppose we have Shamans, Pastors, Holy men and women who have given their lives to the calling of the spirit. Some People from the West pay ton of money to go on a guided spiritual journey in the East or South America. Just go to your bookstore and see the books on religion.
I do not agree with mixing government with spirituality, but I do not condemn or ridicule people for experiencing that feel of the spirit. And I think we should not attack them or belittle them.
But what I have a problem with is that some people in the movement would force their views on others. For example, Roe vs Wade. They may want it overturned. Thus taking away choice. God gave us free will and in order to control their world, they may want to take it away from others.
I think I read in Proverbs that 'A righteous man wants to live in a righteous world.' That might not be a totally correct quote, but I understand the sentiment. But that must be tempered with not forcing one's will upon others.
I think that attacking where she worships is totally wrong, just as folks attacked Obama about Reverend Wright. Things get said in Church that are speaking to the Spirit and it does not translate well.
Attack what she says and do and did. But not through her Church because it is apple to oranges. Mundane to Profane.
Really, she has given us enough things to use against her.
Peace.
